*✅ WAIT, THERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF SILICONE?: Yup. We didn’t know this either until we started manufacturing our silicone lids. Unfortunately, a lot of silicone has “filler” mixed in with the silicone because it’s a lot cheaper to make. We only use 100% Pure LFGB Silicone (the highest quality available) and we don’t “cut it’ with any fillers.

*✅ 100% LEAKPROOF AND EASY TO OPEN (YES, FINALLY!): Easier said than done. It only took us 4 months to create a custom silicone mold that’s easy enough for a child to open; and still 100% Leakproof. In fact, I pack mine upside-down in my lunch bag just for kicks.

*✅ WHAT’S IN THIS SET?: Thought you’d never ask. It has 4 sizes. The largest holds 21oz which I like because I eat like an animal. The 2nd largest holds 13oz which I often pack with my 21oz container. Please don’t judge me. The 3rd holds 7oz and is perfect for snacks. The smallest holds 1.5oz. It’s perfect for condiments and salad dressing. It’s also a perfect size for doing shots with your buddies after work. But it wasn’t meant for that. But it works really well for that.

What a long strange trip it’s been…

We first learned about stainless steel bento boxes while racing a Rickshaw across India to raise money for the Cool Earth foundation.

During this 3-week adventure we raced across 2500km in the Brooklyn Dodger Rickshaw.

We zig-zagged our way through remote villages on roads that were either unpaved or riddled with potholes.

For a couple of Brooklyn guys, this was not an issue. We’ve been training on the Belt Parkway and Atlantic Ave for years.

It was on this trip that we learnt about (and fell in love with) the bento box.

As with many things in life, one thing led to the next and before we knew it we're manufacturing bento boxes and expanding the product line to include other well designed sustainable products.
